Junior Youth Speaks
Kirkcudbright Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright hosted its annual Youth Speaks competition on the 30th of May. The competition is open to all primary school pupils in the surrounding area.
This year a large number of entrants performed to a high standard. Contestants spoke on their chosen subject and used IT to compliment their talk.
The daunting task of public speaking was enjoyed by an audience of parents, Rotarians and friends.
The judges deliberated for longer than usual this year, such was the high standard of talks, to determine the eventual winners. During this time the Kirkcudbright Primary school staff provided the nervous parents with tea, which was very much appreciated.
