District Quiz at Llandovery

MARCH 28TH 2012 - Creditable performance in District Quiz

Our Club's quiz team, comprising of Kim Smith, Dorothy Scott and Ian Graves, along with a number of supporters trekked to Llandovery to meet up with a party of Rotarians and their partners from Pembroke for the next round of the District quiz. After a very pleasant lunch and sociable chat it was down to business.  The questions were challenging but for a few rounds the score was nicely even. However after the "sports" round Pembroke shot ahead and, even with an excellent score in the "science" round, our valiant team were not able to catch up.  Well done to the Pembroke Rotary Club team and ,although disappointing for us, there was some relief that we do not have to trek off to the next round somewhere along the M4 corridor!
