Green Car Project

The pictures show the almost complete green car built by the students of Ullswater Community College. It is part of a National programme to produce an electric, single seat car, which will be raced at various locations in the UK. Penrith Roptary Club involvement has been to persuade a local car restoration Company to finish the body work and spray the vehicle in it's black livery.
Rhonda Dockray, head of Science and Technology at UCC has arranged for a display and photo shoot of the car and students at UCC on Friday 29th June at 1.10pm, unfortunately I shall still be on holiday. If anyone is able to attend, I will let Rhonda know.
I have ordered Rotary roundels which will hopefully be displayed on the car. It is planned that the car will compete at Croft on 4th July. ( I shall still be away!).
