Annual Stroke Awareness Campaign
Club Members together with two senior Nurses took over 100 Blood Pressure measurements on local Formby residents in a Formby Village Surgery on the morning of 14th April.
Although this was down on previous years (180-200), it indicated that local GP surgeries are checking patients more often and in many cases people own their own BP test meters. Another reason may have been that it was held on the same day as the FA Cup Semi final and the Aintree Grand National, when the Village centre was quieter.
The Stroke Awareness Campaign is definitely showing results and is considered to be one of the more worthwhile Community activities.
