Young Chef

A competition for aspiring cooks!

Rotary GB&I Young Chef

The aim of Young chef competition aims to encourage young people to:

  • Learn how to cook a healthy meal
  • Develop food presentation skills
  • Consider food hygiene issues
  • Develop organisational and planning skills
  • Develop an ability to cope in a demanding situation

Students who participate in this competition give a great sense of achievement to their parents and their school, but above all to themselves when they find out what they are capable of. Quite often it is the experience of simply taking part, and the support they get in the process, which is the most valuable part.

It is not unusual for a student who is not necessarily an achiever in other fields to discover hidden talents which can shape their career, or just be an enjoyable experience
