Working through schools, Poole Hospital and a wide range of local charities we aim to support local children and young people, especially the sick and disadvantaged, by organising competitions, providing equipment and making financial grants.

more Aside from the major Rotary projects (Technology Tournament, Kids Out, Young Musician…) in which we involve local schools we also help them in lower profile ways. See below.
EDAS and YADAS
more We support Poole EDAS (Essential Drugs and Alcohol Services) and its young adults offshoot YADAS. It offers care and support to people afflicted or affected by substance misuse.
Poole Hospital children’s unit
more We are proud to have been a major benefactor of the hospital’s children’s unit over the past decade, most recently with the purchase of a bladder scanner (see the STOP PRESS feature on our Home Page).
Rotary Young Musician
more An annual national competition for students aged 17 and under.
Kids Out Day.....
more .....is an annual national Rotary event with a thirty year history. On one day in June Rotary Clubs escort disadvantaged children for a fun day out at a theme park or a zoo. In 2019 28,000 children participated.
Rotary Technology Tournament
more An annual national event for secondary school students aimed at inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists whilst putting their STEM skills to the test.
