Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships, currently US$ 25,000, are awarded by the Scholars home District from their District Designated fund, in the previous academic year, for one years study in a country and university of their choice. Scholars are usually in their early post graduate years.

As the name indicates, scholars are required to take an Ambassadorial role in relation to both their home and country of study. Speaking to local Rotary Clubs in both countries about themselves and the countries is an important part of the scholarship.
