Stan joined the Rotary Club of Amersham in February this year.
He was born in Dunfermline in 1945 of Scottish fishing stock. He is married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren and has lived in this area for many years.
Stan has enjoyed a highly successful and varied career initially at sea with the Cunard / Brocklebank line where he rose to be a senior officer gaining the Masters Certificate. After leaving the Merchant Navy due to an illness, he started a degree in Mathematics as a mature student, but subsequently joined Marks & Spencer and was sent to Canada where he eventually became Head of Store Operations. He then spent 5years with Quaker Oats in Belgium, before moving back to the UK with PepsiCo International.
