Oct 2011 Speaker - new Rtn Duncan Hannay Robertson - My job talk

The speaker for this meeting was Rotarian Duncan Hannay-Robertson. He spoke lucidly about his role as Financial Planner with Taylor Vintners, Cambridge and the wisdom of diversifying while ensuring a steady approach to keeping a suitable split between equity and cash based investments. No one has a crystal ball about how the financial world will react in the future so he advised to take a long term view and not react to the unsettling 'noise' in the markets. 

His role is to bring together specialists in every relevant field to develop a long term plan that suits each client and to regularly review that plan in the light of changes in the world. The talk was very well received and prompted a wealth of questions.
