What a very special evening this was. Nearly 400 people from far and wide ( even one from America!) came to see this wonderful Choir produce a night of beautiful music, joined by mezzo soprano Kate Woolveridge. The concert programme can be seen at:

People were queuing from 6.30 and by 7pm, when we were able to open the doors, the queue was quite long!! There was a very good atmosphere all night, with the bar providing drinks on what turned out to be a very warm evening, and Tony Good providing tea coffees and Icecreams at interval - the latter of which were in high demand as you can imagine......
The Choir did their premier performance of Adiemus and presented a certificate to the father of Tenor Dean Powell for services to the choir and the community of Treorchy. There was a great balance of music and humour, as the MC Gareth told stories of the travels of the Choir around the world and in the UK. Kate gave a number of stunning performances, at times joined by baritone Ray Daniels. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening and one we hope to repeat in the not too distant future.
