Inner Wheel 40th Anniversary Lunch

President Vi Romanis welcomed everyone to the 40th Anniversary of the Inner Wheel Club of Galashiels. After the birthday cake was cut, founder members, past and present members and District office bearers enjoyed lunch in the lovely surroundings of the Kingsknowes Hotel.

Congratulations cards were read out following the meal and founder members Edith Brown, Edith Millar and Isobel Muirhead were presented with gifts form the Club which were much appreciated.

Jean Lees and Helen Johnston, two founder members who gave stalwart service to Inner Wheel but were unable to attend, were also given gifts.

Photographs of Inner Wheel events from previous years were on display and aroused much interest. Some of these ar now on display in our Photo Gallery section. 

And, as the weather was glorious, guests lingered in the garden to chat and renew old friendships. Everyone agreed that it had been a wonderful celebration.
