Working with a number of local groups and businesses we have all come together to construct the new garden planters in time for the start of the new school year at Scoill Phurt le Moirrey.
The Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann would like to thank those who helped from the 'Men in Sheds' project in Port Erin - who built the planters, local business Ross Cain Plant Hire - who provided the soil and Southern Nomads Under 15 Rugby Team - who provided the manpower to move the soil into the planters.
Megan Hunter from Scoill Phurt le Moirrey commented
"The children have already been asking what the raised beds are for and are so excited to be able to plant things in them! They are going to be such a lovely addition to our Reception outdoor area, and I know the children will get so much enjoyment from planting, caring for and watching things grow.
We really appreciate all the time, effort and generosity that has gone into making them happen."
back Every year through the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann Charitable Trust, the Club makes donations to a number of international, UK and local good causes following fundraising activities which take place throughout the Year.
