The biggest festive event in the County

Displays for the crowds

One of the biggest events in Oswestry

Sets up the Christmas season every year

Many come to watch and donate for local causes.

Why not take part in the Parade ? - there is time to plan ahead.

There are "Best in Parade" Awards.  Apart from the "Best walking display", there are 4 "Best Float" categories; Children's Float, Youth Float, Non-commercial Float, and Commercial Float.  Winners or not, the crowds notice when an effort has been made (or not made).  The main thing is to have fun.

We hope that you will support this event by entering a float in to the Parade.

Judging of the vehicular floats will take place at 10.00am at the New Smithfield Cattle Market, and of the walking floats in Victoria Road (in the car park adjoining Co-Op) just before the Parade starts. The procession is scheduled to commence at 11.00am from Victoria Road/Lower Brook Street.

All collections on the day must be made in authorised red Rotary collection buckets. These will be managed by Borderland Rotary Club.  No other collections are authorised for this day.

Safety on the day is of paramount importance.  If you are able to enter a float or display, we would remind you that all entries must be safe, be subjected to a risk assessment, and be covered by public liability insurance.

In addition, it is vital that your vehicle is properly insured and legal for the purpose on parade day.  We accept no responsibility for any damage or injury to either you or the transport you use.  For some guide lines for filling out the risk assessment, click below if you need help.

Please complete and submit the 2026 Entry Form (Click below), as soon as possible.
