Fun in the Park the Event - Rotary District
The club staged a very successful event on Sunday 5th July at Wades Park in Princes Risborough. The event attracted a very large crowd ,mostly families with children, who participated in a wide range of activities and games including :
Welly Wanging, Football, Archery, Golf , Tug of War, Face Painting,Story Telling, Chocolate Hunt , Petanque and a whole series of games for young children.
The event also featured wonderful performances from Stage Plus ( Children's dance), The Ellesborough Brass Band and the Guitar Collection from the Chinnor U3a and an exhibition of Vintage cars and trucks
There was an wonderful selection of cakes and drinks in the Tea in the Tent gazebo.Refreshments were also available from an Ice Cream van and a Burger stall. We had intended to run a Dog Show however due to the current heat wave it was decided that dog welfare was paramount and so we cancelled the show. Many thanks to Jennifer Thomas for helping us to plan the show.
