Cancer Research - Race For Life at Nonsuch Park - 21 June 2026
Despite it being Father's Day, members supported Cancer Research Race for Life at Nonsuch Park arriving for signing in and briefing, ready for all the joggers and walkers taking part in this annual event. Some of our friends marshalled the route whilst most managed the start and finishing lines. It was fantastic cheering on the participants, which did their warm up to music before the race, and were greeted on the way back with much praise, a medal, as much water as needed and a snack. There were only just over 300 participants today, possible due to the humid weather, but those that did take part ran in memory of a loved one, for personal achievement and all in a good cause. Thanks to Maggie for rounding up the team, those that did help out and a special mention to Bob Frisby, who has assisted supporting the event since 2006, hence making this year the 20th year Epsom Rotary have given their support and hence we were presented with a medal.
