Swimalong - April 2026

The eighth Swimalong was held at The Spa at Beckenham on Sunday 26 April.

Twenty three swimmers took part and cumulatively swam nearly 42 miles, thanks to an enthusiastic response from our chosen charity, Bromley Brighter Beginnings, who provided ten swimmers.

Bromley Brighter Beginning  is a community-focused charity that helps families in financial hardship in the Borough by providing essential items to help them look after their children such as newborn packs of toiletries and baby clothes, school uniforms, as well as Christmas hampers.

Many of the items, such as children's clothes, cots and buggies, are pre-loved and have been donated.  They also run a Bed For Every Child project, with the aim of ensuring every child in the borough has a safe place to sleep,

 

This year Rotary Beckenham  have raised £2,700 so far, with more donations to come  Cumulatively, the eight Swimalong events have raised nearly £29,000 for charities.
