This year’s District Assembly will be the first Face-to-Face Assembly for some time, and we hope as many Rotarians as possible will take advantage of this to hear not only the plans for the District in the coming year, but the plans for the district teams and the opportunities and suggestions they offer club team leads . The Assembly will be on Sunday 17th May at the Alona Hotel, Strathclyde Park, Motherwell ML1 3RT
The day will kick off at 12:00 with coffee & breakfast rolls and the Assembly will start at 12:30 when incoming District Governor Callan will talk about the RI President’s Message, the District Focus, and priorities for the year ahead as well as introducing the new District Team. The team leads will also present an overview of their plans for the year to everyone, with opportunities and suggestions for clubs. We will also have a guest speaker, and there will be time for networking during the coffee break, with some questions and answers. The day will finish around 4:30pm.
In addition, there will be a Grants Management Seminar from 11:00am to 12:00 noon given by District Foundation Team Lead Olive Geddes and PDG Alistair Seale. This is essential if your club is thinking about applying for a Foundation Grant, or even if you just want to know more about grants and how to get them
The Assembly is open to all members in the District, and we encourage not only club post holders to attend, but new Rotarians who may gain an insight into the wider world of Rotary.
