Young Musician

Music is the international language and Great Britain and Ireland is home to some of the most talented young instrumentalists and vocalists in the world.

We celebrate this talent with a series of competitions offering thousands of young people the chance to demonstrate their musical skills whether classical or modern.

Young people can share their gift of song or mastery of a musical instrument in Rotary’s Young Musician competition.

Participants have the opportunity to experience performing on a public stage and receive feedback from experienced judges, plus it offers a great chance for future collaboration with fellow musicians.

Entrants can be either a vocalist or instrumentalist.

The Rotary Young Musician competition is run over the course of a school year, in two or three different heats at club level, district, regional and culminating in the national final.

This year’s District Final will be held on Sunday 14th February in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Renfrew Street, Glasgow.

The National Final will be held on Saturday 24th April 2027, in Hartford, Cheshire, 10:00 - 16:00.
