Big Spring Clean 2024

Rotarians are invited to plan Big Spring Clean Up events

District Environmental Services Team

Hello Everyone,

Please be thinking of where to litter pick and reach out to community groups and voluntary organisations to help you on the day.

Make contact with your local council for rubbish bags, litter pickers and a refuse collection on the day of the litter pick.

Please let me know by Saturday 30th March (or sooner if you are organised), if you are taking part or not in this litter pick and where your will be litter picking. Also a start time and meeting point, so that we can do a press release with the correct information.

My own club Tameside Rotary is starting at 10am at Portland Basin and a gentleman from Inland Waterways Association and another gentleman from ‘Friends of Portland Basin’ are coming to our April meeting to discuss how they can help us which is great. Why not use this as an opportunity to reach out into your community and recruit new members?

Kind Regards, Angela (Enviro)
