All clubs are encouraged to join the Big Spring Clean on Saturday 20th April!
An hour or so litter picking is suggested in a local beauty
spot or your local town centre at 10am. Why not finish with a cup of tea or
lunch at your local cafe, pub or picnic area?!
Your local councils should provide rubbish bags and litter pickers upon
request.
Please take lots of photos and put on your club facebook page and then ’share’
onto the district ‘Public Image’ FB page so there is lots of social media
traffic and activity.
You can put the amount of bags and how many people took part in the event as
well as the name of your rotary club on the 'Keep Britain Tidy' website.
As this is to celebrate Earth Day on Monday 22nd April, we ask if you have connections to any secondary schools or colleges, you invite them to join in the litter pick to make this a big community event. Students can either join us on the day or part of their school/college day on Earth Day Monday 22nd April. Please comply with the usual safe-guarding and safety protocol.
