This competition is open to schools from anywhere in the UK both Middle and Secondary and gives young people the opportunity to show their public speaking skills in a high pressure environement in front of a live audience and a panel of expert judges
The format of the competition will be a team of 3, one will have the role of Chairperson, a second will be the Speaker and the third who will give a Vote of Thanks to conclude. The teams can choose any topic they wish and they will have to make their presentation within a specified time frame. In addition, at the end of the presentation a selected member of the audience called the Questioner will ask a member of the team a question related to their topic.
The competition is open to schools in 2 categories and a school can enter teams in both categories if they wish
Intermediate 11- 13 years
Senior 14 - 17 years
The competition starts at the local level with local club heats then the winners entries move on the the District Finals and then the the Regional and National Finals.
