Rotary is more flexible than ever before and now accepts members18 years and upwards. However if you are in the 18-30 age group then we offer a specific membership opportunity in Rotaract (click here for details). Rotary also has membership opportunities for younger people - Interact for 12-18 year olds and Rotakids for those 7-11 years old. So whether you are studying at Primary School or just retired, Rotary has a variety of ways to get involved and there is bound to be an opportunity to suit you, your lifestyle and your commitments.
This is the most common method of joining Rotary. We have over 50 clubs in our District (click here for a list) and most are flexible in their meeting times and locations, giving you options to suit you and your commitments.
As well as face-to-face meetings, a number of clubs operate online or hybrid meetings, giving greater flexibility for those who are frequently on the go, or those who lead a particularly busy lifestyle, but still want to get involved and give back to their community.
While clubs meet at different times, in different places and in different ways, the thing they all have in common is the fact they come together for hands on projects, volunteering and community activities to improve the lives of others.
If there is no Rotary in the town or area where you live or you have a particular cause or passion which is not catered for by your local Rotary Club you can build a club from the ground up. So if you’ve got family, friends, colleagues or acquaintances to join you, why not start your own Rotary group? You can lead the way by facilitating new and vibrant ways of volunteering in your area and hopefully in a short time your Rotary Group can evolve into a fully fledged Rotary Club. Rotary has a dedicated team to help you every step of the way and build the perfect Rotary experience for you.
If you have heavy work or family commitments and do not have the time to commit to regular face to face meetings or their is no Rotary where you live then direct membership may be the option for you.
You join Rotary directly rather than through a club and as it is set in an online environment, you always have access to seminars, workshops and events while still being able to work on projects with your local clubs and those across the country.
Find out more about direct membership here.
Do you run or own an S.M.E.?, then Corporate Membership is perfect for you especially if you want to get your organisation working more closely with your local Community.
Corporate Membership can help drive your organisation to reach its Corporate Social Responsibility (C.S.E.) goals and is perfect for your Environmental Social Responsibility (E.S.G.) as it meets the 5th major principle of E.S.G. - How an organisation links with its community.
If you are the CEO or MD of a large company or organisation usually with 500+ employees then we now offer you the opportunity of Enterprise Membership directly into Rotary. Increasingly large companies and organisations are looking to Rotary as the vehicle for their employees to get involved in their communities and give something back. If you want to find out more please ring Rotary Great Britain & Ireland Headquarters on 01789 765411 to speak to one of our specialists.
Which ever option suits you best there will always be questions so please contact us via this website. We will ask you a few questions and start a conversation to understand what you’re looking for before connecting you with members in your area.
