Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to make a difference through practical action or innovative ideas? If you care about the world around you, the Rotary Young Environmentalist Competition 2025/26 is your opportunity to speak up, stand out, and help shape a better future.
This competition is open to young people (under 10 years /11-13 years / 14-17years) as at 31st August 2025, whether working as an individual or in a team (up to four people). You are invited to develop a solution, campaign, or practical project in response to this year’s theme as set out in the Information Pack on the Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland web site.
Projects can be approached from different angles and perspectives and entrants are encouraged to be creative and innovative in their interpretation of the theme.
In Cumbria and Lancashire we are promoting this competition through schools, young peoples groups and clubs. There may be local competitions, or entries can be sent to Mary Bradley by 31st March 2026. If your entry is outstanding it will be forwarded to the national judging taking place on 30th April 2026.
The Rotary Young Environmentalist Competition is part of Rotary’s commitment to supporting the environment — one of Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus.
