Demonstrate your talents

This years theme is ‘Happiness in Nature’ which is perfect for Cumbria and Lancashire, with our beautiful lakes, rivers, mountains and shore lines.

Young artists were asked to submit a two dimensional piece of artwork being openly creative to demonstrate your talents to a wider audience.

The competition encourages young people to:

  • be creative
  • develop skills in traditional, contemporary or digital media
  • interpret the theme thoughtfully
  • express personal ideas through their chosen medium or mediums

The competition was open to artists up to the age of 17 (as of 31st August 2025) in 3 categories : under 11, 11-13, 14-17 yrs old.

There are several stages to the competition, each designed to support and encourage the development of artistic skills.  This year we are encouraging Rotary Clubs to work with schools and youth groups in their area and hold local competitions.  We suggest they follow the RotaryGBI theme and age catergories, then if they have an outstanding entry it can be progressed to the District and National finals.

District entries should be with Mary Bradley by 31st March 2026.  The finalist in each category will be sent to RotaryGBI by 30th April 2026 but it must be accompanied with the correct paperwork.

Rotary Clubs can download Information Packs, posters and logos by logging into the RotaryGBI website using their personal My Rotary account.  Further details from District Lead Mary Bradley using the Contact Form below.
