Join in being music to our ears

Young people up to the age of 17 years on 31st August 2025 who have a musical talent can enter Rotary’s Young Musician competition. Entrants can be either a solo vocalist or a solo instrumentalist and any music genre is welcomed.

Participants will get the chance to experience performing on a public stage as they showcase their musical talent and receive feedback from experienced adjudicators. This district has had finalists in previous years who are now professional musicians with successful careers.

They will perform in a local heat/district final on 7 February 2026 in Cockermouth before going, if selected, onto a Cluster final on 28 March in Heysham and then onto the national final on 25 April 2026 (venue TBC).
