As a Rotary Direct member, you would join Rotary GB&I as an individual rather than going through a specific Club.
Rotary Direct can appeal to those enthusiastic activists who do not have the time to go to regular meetings but still want to do good locally and globally through Rotary.
Rotary Direct is a more flexible approach to Rotary with no meals and no expectation of regular meetings.
In Rotary Direct, you have access to a variety of discussion forums, optional online meetings and a Monthly newsletter where you can learn more about Rotary, share ideas, discuss and get involved in projects.
Also, you can support other local, regional, national, UK-wide and global organisations as well as traditional Rotary Clubs, with voluntary activities which use your knowledge, skills, expertise, experience and enthusiasm.
About being part of the Cumbria & Lancashire District Hub ...
Rotary Direct can be used to gain or retain Rotarians who do not want to belong to a Club or where there is no suitable club available locally.
Rotary Direct provides local traditional Clubs with an active group of volunteers.
“This is a changing world, we must be prepared to change with it. The story of Rotary will have to be written again and again.” (Paul Harris, the visionary lawyer who started Rotary in 1905).
