Young Technologist

For over ten years now the Rotary clubs in Devon have been organising the annual event for the Young Technologist Awards.

The objective of the award is to encourage young people to see design and technology as an attractive and challenging subject to provide opportunities for team-building and practice communication skills, as well as resolving a design and technology problem at the level of the National Curriculum and incorporating the necessary assessment criteria. Rotary as an organisation is very supportive of all on-going work in schools and colleges as well as many other youth projects.

The entrants are from 20 colleges around the County of Devon, producing an average of 85 entries.
