St. George's Brass Band
Traditional brass ensemble of around thirty musicians, playing cornets, trombones, horns, baritones, euphoniums, basses and flugelhorns. One of the longest-existing brass bands in Ireland, it was founded in 1936 in St George’s Parish in North Dublin. The band plays a very wide repertoire of music and has a proud history of entertaining the public at garden fetes, summer events and in Dublin's parks and bandstands. Regular venues have included the Botanical Gardens, St Stephen’s Green, Bray Promenade and Farmleigh House.
