Maryna Dolzhenko is a key member of the International Rotary Fellowship of Healthcare Professionals, a group that has provided a huge amount of support to Rotarians and communities in Ukraine since the invasion of Ukraine. She is also the Ukrainian chair of the newly chartered Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland - Ukraine Inter Country Committee.
She visited family in London recently and combined this with the charter signing of the new ICC. She was also invited to visit Maidenhead Bridge Rotarian Nas Parkes. Nas organised an online cooking event to raise funds for the International Fellowship of Healthcare Professionals (IRFHP).
I met with Maryna on zoom a couple of days after the cooking and we were able to speak about the medical support provided by IRFHP and Rotarians in Great Britain and Ireland to people working in and around Ukraine. We also spoke about the new Inter-Country Committee and the opportunities that will arise from that, and we spoke about the value of sharing our cultures through cooking together.
Read more about the work of IRFHP on their website.
Read the interview with John Philip, Chair of the IRFHP in the Rotary in GB&I magazine.
