Dr Charlotte Patient works at the Rosie Hospital and specialises in caring for pregnant women who have medical problems including high blood pressure, the focus of our President's research. Dr Patient works through Cambridge Global Health Partnerships in their link with the National Maternity Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. High blood pressure and its associated disorder pre-eclampsia are the second most common cause of maternal death in developing countries, so this work is vitally important.
