The Tree of Joy lights were switched on by Emilie, 9, and Amie Miller, 11, from the Young Carers Group, shortly after 6.00 p.m. on Thursday 26th November. This event signifies the start of the Rotary Christmas activities. The tags for presents for needy young children in the community are already in circulation with a deadline of 10th December to get the presents back to the host site where the tags were collected.

This weekend is our annual flag day with all monies raised going towards the cost of Christmas food parcels for needy families in the community. This year is especially important as the number of families referred for a parcel has increased so fund raising is vitally important.

The Inner Wheel will be sorting the presents returned from the Tree of Joy tags in the middle of December ready to distribute them back to the agencies ahead of the school Christmas holidays, a busy & exciting time.

Finally, a big thank you to our sponsors Bank of Butterfield, International Energy Group & PwC and supporters Charles Vaudin Tree Surgery, Island Electrics, Marine and General Engineers & Stan Brouard.
