Making Christmas a Little Easier (2 December 2017)

The Rotary machinery is now well under way. Having received details of deserving individuals within our Island Community, Rotarians are preparing and delivering food parcels throughout the Island on a strictly selective basis.

Rotary President, Simon Milsted, said, “On behalf of the Rotary Club I would like to thank the various agencies who share their particular knowledge of deserving instances. Only in this way can our giving be targeted to appropriate recipients.

“Likewise our sincere thanks must be given to the general public who once again this year supported so generously our Flag Day fund raising initiative. On Saturday 2 December no less than £5,300 found its way into our collection buckets. It is these funds that enable us and our supplier-partner, the Co-Operative Society, to improve the lot of so many this Christmas.”
