This weekend (Saturday 14th Nov) saw a team of helpers from local firm Saffery
Champness assisting with the clear up of the sensory gardens at Delancey Park
ahead of the winter months.
Organised by Nigel Dorey from the Rotary Club of Guernsey along with
Saffery staff members Peter Crosland and Kate Dorey, a team of 10 volunteers
from the firm were weeding, planting, pruning, removing any litter and giving
the garden area, next to the bowling green, a real tidy up.
Unfortunately the weather was not on our side with drizzle falling
throughout virtually the whole time, but everyone stuck to the task and remained
surprisingly cheerful. Perhaps the coffee break and home made cakes helped?
(thank you Jocelyn)
Well done to all.
