This was an entertaining evening meeting with entertainment and optional kilts !
We heared about the life of the famous poet and songwriter Robert Burns - or Rabbie Burns to his friends, found out why many consider him to be the greatest scot who ever lived, celebrated his 25th January birth date and sampled the traditional meal of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties (with a vegetarian version available).
With thanks to our enthusiastic contributors :
Maureen for reading the Burns Poem - 'To a Mouse.'
Molly for Address to the Haggis and the Burns Poam - 'Oh wert thou in the cauld blast.'
Sian & Wendy for their duet - Loch Lomond.
Mike for John Barleycorn
and Vicky and Burman for the Toast to the Lassies and the Reply for the Lassies.
