HOWDEN ROTARIAN NOMINATED FOR AWARD

Following his amazing Press Up Challenge in January which raised £22,000, Rotarian and farmer Richard Longthorp has been nominated as a finalist in the prestigious Yorkshire Post 2024 Rural Awards in the category Rural Event of the Year as “The Press Ups Man”.

“It looks as though I have a new name, “The Press Ups Man” joked Richard “I am ok with that if it allows me the opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits of boxing for those with Parkinson’s”

The presentation is at The Pavilion in Harrogate’s Great Yorkshire Showground on Thursday 26th September. Richard’s daughter Anna’s business “Anna’s Happy trotters” is also nominated for Pig Farm of the Year.
