On Sunday 11th April 2021 Howden Rotary Club held its second Charity Walk from Ashes Playing Field Howden with walkers of all ages completing the 5km route in aid of their chosen charity or good cause on a breezy and mostly bright afternoon.
“We were delighted at the response to our Charity Walk” said Club President Elizabeth Harland “we have seen over 100 walkers take part raising more than £3,000 for their chosen causes”.
“We would like to thank everyone who took part, we are grateful to you all for observing the COVID-19 measures and keeping everyone safe” added Elizabeth.
Some of the charities benefiting include St Paul's Boxing Academy, Howden AFC, Howden Minster Choir, Hearing Dogs, Howden Pre-school, Howden Scout Group, Wellington St Michaels Scout Group, and Goole Youth Athletics Club
