A Long Walk for a Toilet!
Hull Paragon Rotary Club are supporting Toilet Twinning during this Presidential Year.
Inspired by joining the Club’s recent walks for our Shelterbox 20 appeal, one member has pledged to walk the round trip from her home across the Humber Bridge (on non-windy days!) on 10 occasions – a distance of approximately 9 miles per walk. To start off the Toilet Twinning fund-raising, she is asking members who wish to sponsor her to ‘spend’ a £1 per walk and so far the ‘spending’ is going well!
Toilet Twinning invites people to ‘twin’ their toilet with a latrine overseas – and so sponsor a household toilet for a family in a poorer community abroad, or a toilet block at a school or refugee camp
