The Rotary Foundation is Rotary's own charity which was founded over 100 years ago with a small endowment has today spent more than $4 billion on life changing, sustainable projects

Rotary Foundation is about helping Rotarians to do good in the world. It is the  trust fund of Rotary International; its mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. ’.

The seven areas of focus are:

  • Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Community economic development
  • Environment

Sustainability is a key element to ensure projects lasting long after our direct involvement.

The Foundation has supported clubs with District 1040 with projects both locally and internationally.
