Rotary View Update - February 2026

An update from the Rotary View Team

Rotary View - an update from the Rotary View Team

Since the start of 2026, development work has shifted on Rotary View, with priority set to complete the outstanding functionality areas that would constitute a completion of the original system specification. This has progressed well, with our development team completing work on the new Event Management area and progressing with other new features following this.

Additionally, the team has worked on other outlined priorities during this time, mainly high-priority issues that needed resolving or completing within Rotary View. Below is a summary of work that went live in Rotary View, on 11th February 2026:

Event Management

This new area in Rotary View will allow clubs to create meetings and events, with options for setting the type (in-person, virtual, hybrid) and adding details such as a description and whether the event is for members only. A key component of creating an event is the generation of a registration page, that can be shared externally to members and non-members alike to record attendees. Club Administrators or officers can then communicate to these attendees via the Event Management area. QR codes and links are also generated for the event too.

PHF Recognitions

An issue with display of PHF recognition has been present in RV for a while. PHF recognition status for all members of a club can now be synchronised from the My Rotary database using a button next to the “Recognition” heading when viewing the Club Membership area. When clicked, the recognition status of all members in the club will be checked against data retained from Rotary International, so that any status missing in Rotary View will be populated. This can be performed by staff and club/district administrators at any time.

Additional note from Carol: When you use this "Recognition" button you should get a message to say that the synch has started and will take a few minutes. Once it tells you that the synch is complete then REFRESH THE PAGE and the correct results should be there (I've tested it myself for a club who had previously reported errors and all now accurate.

“Pause” of the system while adding or terminating members

There has been an issue in Rotary View which has allowed for the creation of duplicate records, resulting in the system not notifying that a task is being completed. This is when a new member is added, allowing for admins or officers to continue to perform tasks in Rotary View. This system will now “pause” ensuring that the new member is created successfully before allowing the system to be used again. This takes a matter of seconds, but aids in ensuring clarity and transparency in the operations of the system.

District officers that are incorrectly listed in Rotary View, or missing from Rotary View (in relation to the data stored in My Rotary) should now be synchronised.

Club and District email forwarders are now correctly implemented in Rotary View, operating for all clubs and districts for which we centrally own the domain in the format of “rotaryXXXX.org” for (the Xs replaced with the district number, for example rotary1010.org).

Rotary View - do those with BT email addresses have issues receiving your emails?

Here's a top tip from Kerr (our Shelterbox guru) on how he resolved a problem when he wasn't receiving emails from Rotary View. Some detective work found the problem: my BT Internet account was blocking the RV sender address.  Going on to the BT website and then my email account allowed me to add the RV email to the 'safe senders' list and voila it worked (at least so far!).  Hope this might help some others.
