I am sure that many, if not all, of you will be fully occupied at the moment with various festive events, but I hope that you might have some time to read my final ‘sms’ of the year, not least because I would like to share some really good news.
In the past year Rotary clubs in D1010, Scotland North, have raised an amazing £37,860 to date for ShelterBox; this compares with the total for 2024 of £23,350 and represents an increase in donations of over 60%. Just over 50 clubs in the district were involved in this remarkable generosity, another significant increase in involvement. I am delighted and very humbled by the support that you have all given over the past year, and ShelterBox has asked me to pass on their profound appreciation.
Looking forward to Christmas, many of us will be casting around trying to source a Christmas gift with a difference. Some of you may wish to consider a ShelterBox ‘virtual’ gift, or even membership of the ShelterBox Book Club: details of both can be found via the links below.

For now, I hope that all your festive events will go smoothly and will allow you to help the many local charities that traditionally benefit from these.
With my thanks and good wishes for a blessed and peaceful Christmas.
Yours in Rotary and as ever,
Kerr
