Torin's Fundraising Calendar

Corey Liversedge would have been 21 years old on the 28th of September 2025 – tragically however in October 2020 he took his own life amid the COVID pandemic

This of course decimated his entire family and everyone who knew him throughout our entire community. None more so than his younger brother Torin (now 18) whose life has been changed in such profound ways.

Amidst Torin’s grief he realises that some beautiful things have emerged. He has discovered and immersed himself in photography, which began as an outlet but has become a passion.  He used his growing passion for landscape photography particularly to create calendars annually to cheer his family. 

In the run up to Christmas 2024  Torin decided to take this to the next level and after speaking with Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) he successfully raised significant funds by creating and selling over 350 calendars - raising over £5,250 for the charity. It is also quite remarkable that Torin paid for all the calendars production costs entirely from his own bank account such that every single penny raised went to SAMH's Northeast Suicide Prevention.

Torin’s story was published in full in the Press and Journal shortly after Christmas 2024.

If ever there was a deserving and quite exceptional young man then it is Torin. His achievements and attitude to the most difficult of circumstances has blown us all away. 

To that end Torin was nominated for (by the Rotary Club of Aboyne and Upper Deeside) the Rotary Young Citizen Award for Great Britain and Ireland in May 2025, which he went on to win. https://magazine.rotarygbi.org/rotary-young-citizen-may-2025

Torin is now an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Aboyne and Upper Deeside attending meetings periodically. He continues to inspire his fellow Rotarians as he has once again compiled and produced a 2026 calendar. He hopes to do even better this year and raise over £10,000 for the charity which would be quite remarkable. 

Apart from supporting Torin with the production costs of the Calendars – the Rotary Club of Aboyne and Upper Deeside vowed to spread the word and seek support far and wide in the true spirit of Rotary.

One calendar cost £15 – of which every penny goes to SAMH. 

If you would like to buy calendars, please contact Rotary Club of Aboyne and Upper Deeside Treasurer Mr Peter Vermeulen using contact facility below. Please state number of Calendars desired and the address for these to be delivered. Peter will send an invoice to you / your club for the calendars and postage. When money has been received calendars will be posted.

It is preferable to have one person from each club order for all the members in your club to minimize postage.
