13 Bridges Challenge

Walk, Jog or Run for your community - and Make A Difference

Looking for the perfect way to enjoy the last days of summer with family and friends - including the dog - before the new school term begins?

Join us for a beautiful sponsored walk, jog or run along the historic Royal Military Canal in Hythe, Kent, one of the original Cinque Ports.  Soak up the scenery, discover local history  and enjoy a relaxed day outdoors - all while raising vital funds for local Charities

Whether you walk, jog or run, this is an event for all agers and abilities

Event Details:

  • Date:  Sunday 6th September 2026

  • Location:  Start and finish at Ladies Walk Bridge, Hythe

  • Start Time  Leave between 10:00 - 11:00

  • Finish:  Return by 3:00pm

Choose your distance:

  • Full Route:  10 mile circular walk along this iconic and historic canal 

  • Family Route:  3-5 mile shorter family option.

Both routes follow the picturesque canal path featuring crossings and points of local interest

 

Why Take Part?

This event is organised by Hythe Rotary, which has proudly served the local community for nearly 80 years.  You'll recognise our members and friends in their yellow tabards at many local events, from boot fairs and races to Christmas Collections and Santa's Grotto.

  • Pilgroms Hospices in Kent
  • Other vital local; charities supporting people in our community

  • Adults:  £30
  • Childrten under 16:  free
  • Sponsorship Target:  £30 minimum
