Corporate memberships give local businesses, charities, non-profits and government entities the chance to give back to their communities - while developing their employees' personal and professional skills through Rotary.
Many businesses have formal or informal corporate responsibility programs to encourage their employees involved in community projects - and need help in doing so by providing access for those employees who wish to volunteer by participating in community and International programs/events a variety of ways - and they may become future Rotary members themselves.
THE BENEFITS
CONNECT & LEARN
Rotary hosts a range of in-person and virtual events each year, offering opportunities to be inspired by guest speakers and thought leaders to develop global understanding.
TURN IDEAS INTO ACTION
Do you or your employer have a cause you’re passionate about? Rotary is the place to give your project lift off. Our own charity, The Rotary Foundation, hands out thousands of grants each year.
WORK WITH LEADING ORGANISATIONS
Rotary’s longstanding reputation has allowed us to establish relationships with leading national and international charities, putting our members at the forefront of change.
SOCIAL NETWORKING
Rotary is a great way to expand social circles, meet new people and engage in new perspectives, all while having fun and making a difference.
BE PART OF A GLOBAL COMMUNITY
With 1.4 million members in 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries, Rotary is a global network of neighbours, friends and problem solvers making a difference in our communities.
DEVELOP AND SHARE SKILLS
Members can share their personal and vocational skills, take up leadership roles, as well as learning from fellow members on activities such as project planning, communications and service delivery.
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Rotary was founded over 100 years ago as a business networking group, and this still plays a part in Rotary today. Making connections with other members can enhance professional life and open up business opportunities.
VALUE FOR MONEY
Corporate membership starts from as little as £10 per month, offering a great value for money to access Rotary's local and global network.
OUR APPROACH
We propose talking with local businesses and organisations about how volunteering is good for their community, their employees, and their business. At the same time, we would build a list of projects/ events for volunteers to choose from.
Some projects might be initiated by us, and some could come from other charities. For example, the Sussex Cancer Fund (SCF) will be looking for our help to get volunteers for fundraising and awareness events.
If a company becomes a corporate member of Cuckfield Lindfield and Haywards Heath Rotary, their people can select a project that interests them in order to get involved.
At the same time, the introduction of informal coffee mornings twice per month can play a strong part in this. It’s a key part of our strategy of providing flexible meetings, with access for people who can’t attend evening meetings.ess pays for a single membership, which is then available to multiple people within that business. That means that up to 4 employees can be actively involved in the club, for the price of one membership - £120.00 per annum. The subscription is the same as individual members of pay.
Someone from a business is appointed as the "Primary Member" with the others classed as "Associate Members". All of these members can engage in Rotary activities, attend meetings, receive club information and more.
Primary Members are also eligible to hold officer positions within Rotary (Secretary, President and Treasurer)
