The Rotary Club of Narberth & Whitland has been busy
forming another RotaKids group in West Wales.
What a good day it was at Meidrim School yesterday seeing them receive the Rotakids Charter from Mike Phillips. Mike was a very charming, humble young man who was fluent in the Welsh Language and was perfect for the presentation yesterday. He made time in his very busy schedule home from Dubai to come along to the school with Mum Morfydd. Congratulations to him and his wife on their pending new arrival in August. We will have another Welsh Cap in a few years time as Mike told us it was a little boy they were expecting.
Thanks to AG Derek Lloyd for coming along too to help with the presentation.
Thanks to Ann Jones and her daughter Sian for providing delicious cream cakes and tea party
for the children. It will be remembered at the school for a long time.
Our grateful thanks to Head Teacher Steffan Jones for embracing all the Global Citizen concepts of
Rotakids and it's refreshing to know that we are now educating and recruiting our Rotarians for the
future.This is the age we want to introduce the children to Rotary Values so in the future our
Youth competitions and Membership are thriving in the future.
