Wendy McManus gave the club a most interesting and informative talk on the work of the Wales Air Ambulance service. She explained that since 1st December 2020 the introduction of a fourth helicopter enables a day and night 24/7 service for the whole of Wales. It provides the best service of all the UK nations.
There is a specialist division for children which provides expert care and transport for paediatric and neonatal patients.
They have to fund raise £8m every year. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a My20 fund raising theme. They run a weekly charity lottery with £1 tickets and a possible prize of £1,000. Details are on the Wales Air Ambulance website https://www.walesairambulance.com/ .
The club decided to donate £250 towards this worthy cause.
