The annual Llantwit Major Rotary Club Young Inventors' competition was held at Llantwit Major Comprehensive School on Thursday 16th May. The competition pieces formed part of the competitors' A-level submissions in Product Design and spanned a wide range of areas. First prize and the Ledley Engineering shield went to Thomas Parker with his design for a long distance skateboard trailer. Second place was awarded to Jack Sivyer who had designed an architectural model of a replacement cafe for Llantwit Major beach and third place to Carly Leonard for her wedding stationery and gift boxes. The judges, Rotarians Del Williams, Richard Vidler and Tom Carnduff were very impressed with the quality of the entries and wished the students well with their A-level examinations.
