The district finals of the young musician competiton for vocalists and instrumentalists were held in the Taliesin Arts Centre at Swansea University on Saturday 16th February. There was a very strong field with 8 vocalists and 9 instrumentalists from around South, West and Mid Wales. The 2 competitors sponsored by Llantwit Major Rotary were singer Asha Fletcher-Peters and clarinettist Angharad (Katie) Wynne, with Angharad being awarded the instrumentalist runner-up prize. The audience was treated to a wonderful afternoon and evening's top quality musical entertainment.
