Following a couple of meetings at another venue, we decided to try a meeting and evening meal at the Lion in Leintwardine.
This was a successful evening with a single course chosen in advance and a room to ourselves, the first for this Rotary year having previously having to share our room with others.
We also had the very pleasant "duty" of welcoming our newest member Doug Ridley to the fold. Cathy introduced Doug to the members, Sheila read out the Objects of Rotary and the Four Way Test, and President Margaret formally welcomed Doug to the Rotary Club of Knighton and District. We are looking forward to sharing social, community, fundraising and event planning with Doug over the coming years. A very warm welcome Doug!
We now just have another pleasant "duty" of formally welcoming Di Cosgrove to the Club in due course. In the meantime our next meeting is a Council meeting at the Baron, followed by an enjoyable frugal lunch and fundraiser meeting at the home of members Ivan and Cathy Jones. So see you then.....
more There was an update from Council members before we enjoyed a relaxed lunch. We also inducted new member Clive Stokes!
more This will be a quick update from Council members and we were delighted to welcome our newest Rotary member Maureen Williams.
more We warmly welcomed Patrick as a new Rotarian today.
more We were very pleased to welcome Christine Price as the latest member of our vibrant club....
more We were proud to welcome Nick Stimpson as a member tonight....
more A very good evening with DG David Curtis speaking and Claire being inducted.
more A bit about what makes our Rotary Club special.
more An informal evening for invited guests that was very successful.
back New members add a vibrancy and enthusiasm to the Club as well as adding the enjoyment of our friendships....
