On the weekend of March 21st 2020 well-known local Roger Bright passed away after a long illness.
Roger was a great supporter of our Rotary Club, attending many of our events as a photographer for the local press.
He was Mayor of Knighton 5 times, town councillor for over 30 years and active in the local RAFA for many years.
He arranged a large range overseas trips for the local community over the years and many remember these with great fondness.
Rotary member Roy Williams put him forward for a Queens honour and Roger was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2015 for his services to the community.
Roger will remain a colourful character in the memories of many local people.
