Although it was quiet on this Saturday, at the Knighton Farmer's Market, we were able to share the progress that Rotary ( with the support of the WHO and the Gates Foundation ) has made in the eradication of polio across the world.
We also showed off a Rotary Shelterbox to a young man from Nottingham whose grandfather lives in Knighton. He will now be doing a project at school on this excellent way to support those in disaster-stricken areas worldwide. It was good to show what Rotary, and our Rotary Club, is doing both locally and internationally.
